The Legal 500 - 2023 Rankings

4 OCTOBER 2022 15:10

We are delighted to announce that four of our teams have been ranked in the 2023 Legal 500 rankings. We have been ranked for our work in following areas of law: -

  • Contentious Trusts and Probate
  • Crime
  • Dispute Resolution (Commercial Litigation)
  • Family

This is undoubtedly an excellent achievement for Clare Tregoning, Laura Sherwood, Lucy Williams and their respective teams.

This year marks the second year of entry for our Crime and Contentious Trust and Probate Department and marks the first year of entry for our Dispute Resolution and Family Department.

Lucy Williams, Director and Head of our Family Department commented:

“We as a firm are delighted to have secured several department rankings in the 2023 Legal 500. It’s a particularly proud moment for me given that it’s a first time ranking for the Gomer Williams Family Team. We are extremely grateful to our clients past and present as well as the numerous professionals that we work with on a day-to-day basis for their continued support and wonderful feedback. We hope to be able to continue on with the high-quality service we provide and keep meeting the expectations of our clients.”

Laura Sherwood, Director and Head of our Crime Department added:

“The Crime Department at Gomer Williams & Co Limited are proud and honoured to be incorporated, for a second year, in the 2023 Edition of the Legal 500. We would wish to echo our sentiments from last year in relation to the hard work of our staff and the future growth of our flourishing team.”

The Legal 500 is the largest and most in-depth independent survey of the UK legal market, assessing the strengths of law firms and ranks firms based on the results. It is the leading guide to law firms and solicitors in the UK, and all firms ranked are recommended by the Legal 500 for the year ahead.

The research is based on feedback from past and current clients of the firm, and so the results demonstrate the real relationship between the firms and its clients.

We are especially thrilled to see that the feedback received this year acknowledges the firm’s continued support and development of junior members of the firm, something which the firms prioritises and prides itself on.

Clare Tregoning, Director and Head of our Dispute Resolution Department said:

“I am very proud of my team and the wider firm for their well-deserved feedback and rankings in the 2023 Legal 500. I am especially proud that this year’s rankings recognise the concentrated efforts that we put in to mentoring and developing the solicitors of the future. Many thanks to our clients and Counsel for their invaluable comments and input.”

We look forward to another year of providing clients with high-quality legal service.
